About Us

Who Are We?

Hi, I'm Tyler. In 2023 I found Training Tails as a small company that focuses on in-home animal training. I have a background in Puppy School socialisation group classes and dog Obedience group classes of all levels. I am currently studying a Certificate 4 in Animal Behaviour and Training for a nationally recognised qualification. While this isn't currently required to be an animal trainer in Australia, I am looking to a future of when dog training is more regulated, and you can depend on whichever trainer you work with to be fully informed and qualified.

As my experience grew, I found that many clients weren't able to commit to long-term training classes. While I fully endorse group classes, there are so many variations in what is available that sometimes you just aren't sure what your pet should be doing!

On top on that, classes are built on a rigid structure that some of our pets just can't keep up with, or they go beyond the expectations of a class environment. With a training plan customised for you and your pet, you can avoid the frustration or boredom that your pet may get in classes!

Within the classes that I have run, I have found that many people have been unable to attend every class for a variety of reasons, from illness, to event conflicts. There are also those who may have discomfort with taking their pet into a class environment, or who want to train a specific skill to make home-life easier for them and their pet (i.e. opening doors to go outside to toilet!) There are also many people in other situations that make going to classes quite difficult.

None of these should make your furry family member miss out! I found that being able to offer custom training plans and sessions to people in the comfort of their own homes would avoid this, and still give their pet the best training possible!
